Swimming for Tone and Improving your Figure
Whether you prefer to swim long, continuous distances or short, quick lengths, you will see your body improve tone.
To get the best results, it is best to isolate the area of your body that you wish to tone. Adding ten to 20 minutes of kicking to your workout will greatly improve the tone of your legs, from heel to bum. Alternatively, if you’d like to concentrate on your upper body, using a training aid such as a pull buoy will limit the movement of your legs ensuring that your upper body is doing all of the work. You can also use hand or finger paddles which will increase the intensity of the workout on your arms and shoulders.
