- Buoyancy and Balance – Develop an understanding of what keeps you afloat and what can affect your buoyancy and balance in the water.
- Rotation and Orientation – Developing skills like turning around, lying on your back, lying on your front, and twisting from front to back etc.
- Streamlining – Understanding the best shape for your body to be in to move through the water quickly.
- Aquatic Breathing – Learn how to breathe correctly and have confidence with your head under water.
- Travel and Coordination – Developing movement in all directions, how to travel easily and explore different ways to travel in water.
- Water Safety – How to keep safe in and around water.
- Health and Fitness – Why is exercise and swimming good for you?
